Science must test the metaphors it inherited

Survival, struggle, victory, and competition are not neutral words when they are used to explain what life is.

We suspect that scientific and popular corpora make competition and extraction more visible than symbiosis, cooperation, and conflict control.

This is not an accusation against researchers. It is a testable question: preregistered dictionaries, blinded annotation, multiple disciplines, multiple languages, and publication even if the result is null.
